The Differences Between Steel Slag Rod Mill and Steel Slag Ball Mill

One of the main uses of steel slag as tailing minerals in steelmaking and ironmaking is to recover steel. In addition, steel slag can also be used as blast furnace solvent, sintering material, stone and cement building materials.
The application of steel slag in different fields requires different fineness. Different types of mills are used for different fineness and output. So specifically, Luoyang Dahua Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd. mainly manufactures high-efficiency energy-saving rod mills and high-efficiency energy-saving ball mills, so what is the difference between the two grinding mills?
1. High-efficiency and energy-saving rod mill
The high-efficiency and energy-saving rod mill can use rolling bearing support instead of bearing bush sliding bearing support, and use dry oil grease instead of rare lubricating station, which can save energy by 10~20%. In addition, due to the poor fluidity of materials produced by dry production, its production capacity is only 40-70% of that of wet production, so rod mills generally use wet production. In addition to slag and steel slag, it can also grind non-metallic minerals such as gypsum, coal, quartz and calcite.
2. High-efficiency and energy-saving ball mill
High-efficiency and energy-saving ball mills all use rolling bearing support instead of bearing bush sliding bearing support, which can save energy by 10-20% compared with sliding bearing support. Under the same power conditions, the production capacity can be increased by 10 to 20%. Using dry oil grease instead of thin oil lubricating station, the high-efficiency energy-saving ball mill does not need to be equipped with expensive high and low pressure lubricating station, reducing one-time investment costs. Mining ball mills with a diameter of more than φ2700mm can use high-voltage motors, pneumatic clutches, large gear dry oil spray lubrication and slow-speed drive devices for cranking and maintenance.
