Iron ore is the core raw material for steel production, and its processing is crucial to the sustainable development of the steel industry. In the processing of iron ore, crushing is the first step, which is directly related to the efficiency of subsequent processes and product quality. Among them, jaw crusher, as a commonly used crushing equipment, plays an irreplaceable role in iron ore crushing.
Ore Jaw crusher is a device that uses the relative rotation of two jaw plates to crush materials to the required particle size under the action of extrusion, shear and friction. In iron ore crushing, the working principle of jaw crusher is mainly reflected in the following steps:
1. Motor drive: The motor drives the eccentric shaft to rotate through the belt and pulley.
2. Moving jaw movement: The rotation of the eccentric shaft causes the moving jaw (moving jaw) to reciprocate up and down.
3. Crushing process: When the moving jaw rises, the angle between it and the fixed jaw (fixed jaw) becomes larger, clamping the iron ore in the middle and crushing it through extrusion, shear and friction. As the movable jaws descend, the crushed iron ore is discharged from the lower part of the crushing chamber.
4. Periodic crushing: As the motor continues to rotate, the movable jaws and fixed jaws repeat the above process to achieve continuous crushing of the iron ore.
In iron ore crushing, the jaw crusher has the following significant advantages:
1. Simple structure and convenient maintenance: The structure of the jaw crusher is relatively simple, the wear between the components is less, and the maintenance cost is low. At the same time, due to its simple structure, it is also convenient to repair and replace parts.
2. Large crushing ratio and uniform particle size: The jaw crusher has a large crushing ratio, which can quickly crush large pieces of iron ore into smaller particle sizes. At the same time, because its crushing method is continuous extrusion and shearing, the particle size distribution of the crushed iron ore is relatively uniform.
3. Strong adaptability: The jaw crusher can handle iron ores of various hardnesses, and it also has good adaptability to iron ores of different particle sizes. This makes jaw crushers have a wide range of application prospects in the field of iron ore processing.
4. Energy saving and environmental protection: Jaw crushers have low noise during operation and generate less dust during the crushing process. This is conducive to reducing environmental pollution and noise pollution, and meets the current requirements of environmental protection and energy saving.
The iron ore processing production process mainly includes three processes: crushing, grinding and beneficiation. Among them, crushing is the first step, which is directly related to the efficiency of subsequent processes and product quality. In the crushing process, the jaw crusher plays a key role. The iron ore crushed by the jaw crusher needs to be screened to separate the iron ore of different particle sizes. Then, the iron ore is ground into fine powder by a grinding machine, and then the impurities and useless components are removed by a beneficiator for magnetic separation and flotation, and finally the iron concentrate that meets the requirements is obtained.
During the iron ore processing and production process, the following points should also be noted: First, it is necessary to reasonably control the crushing ratio and discharge port size of the crusher to ensure that the particle size of the crushed iron ore meets the requirements; second, it is necessary to regularly inspect and maintain the equipment to ensure the normal operation of the equipment; third, it is necessary to strengthen environmental protection measures to reduce noise and dust pollution during the production process.
